How the ARK server status works

Studio Wildcard publishes two public server lists for ARK: Survival Ascended, one for the official servers they run and one for unofficial servers. We read both every 10 minutes. Right now they hold about 55,100 servers, and about 7,100 of them have players on.

The unofficial list is big, around 50 MB, because most of its servers sit empty. We keep the ones with players, and the busiest servers get a 24 hour and a 30 day player history.

Finding an official server

Type the server number, like 5313, or the full name, like EU-PVE-TheIsland5313. Official servers keep their name when they move to another machine, so their page stays the same. Unofficial servers are listed by IP and port.

PvE, PvP and crossplay

Each server page shows whether the server is PvE or PvP, which platforms can join (most official servers are crossplay between PC, Xbox and PlayStation) and whether it needs a password.

Checking your own server

Paste your server's address as IP:port in the search box. If it is in the list you get its page straight away, with an embed for your website and an OBS link for your stream.
