How the Instagram like counter works
Instagram shows the like count under a post, but it rounds big numbers (1.2M) and does not change while you look at it. This page reads the exact count from Instagram's public post card every few seconds and shows every change as it happens, together with the comments and, for reels, the views.
Paste the link of any public post or reel. In the app you find it under the three dots: Share, then Copy link. Photos, carousels, videos and reels all work. Posts from private accounts, and posts whose owner turned off embedding, cannot be read, because Instagram does not show them outside the app.
Put the like count on your stream
Open the OBS tab, pick a style and a size, and paste the link into a Browser source. Choose likes, views or comments. The overlay never shows ads, so you can leave it on screen during a stream, a giveaway or a launch.
Likes, comments and views
Likes and comments are exact numbers. Reel views are the play count on Instagram's post card, which Instagram updates less often than likes, so they move in steps. A small drop now and then is normal: Instagram answers from several copies of its data, and the counter ignores dips under 0.1 percent so the number does not jump back and forth.
Hidden like counts
Since 2021 anyone can hide the like count on their own posts. When Instagram leaves the number out of its post card, this page says the likes are hidden and follows the comments or views instead.

Why can't I see the like count on an Instagram post?
The owner hid it. Since 2021 anyone can hide the like count on their own posts. If Instagram leaves the number out of its post card too, this page says so instead of guessing, and you still get the comments and, for reels, the views.
How much are 1,000 likes on Instagram worth?
Instagram does not pay for likes. Money comes from brands, who pay for sponsored posts based mostly on followers and engagement. The Instagram money calculator gives a rough range for an account.
How often does the like count update?
Every few seconds while the page is open. When many posts are being watched at the same time, each one is read a little less often, so the count can pause for a few seconds. It pauses while the tab is in the background.
Does it work for reels?
Yes. Paste a reel link to get the likes, the comments and the view count. Views move in steps because Instagram updates them less often than likes.
Can I see who liked a post?
No. The post card only has the totals. The names of the people who liked a post are only shown to its owner in the app.
Is it free?
Yes. No login and no limit. The ads on this page pay for the servers, and the embed and the OBS overlay never show ads.
