How the live Instagram follower count works
Instagram rounds follower counts once an account passes 10,000, so the app says 679M while the real number is 679,569,763. This page asks Instagram for the full number every 5 seconds and shows each change as it happens, up or down.
Search any username or paste a profile link at the top. Private accounts work too, because their follower count is public. Following and posts show up when Instagram returns them.

How often does the count update?
Every 5 seconds while the page is open. If the number does not move, the account did not gain or lose anyone in that time. The counter pauses while the tab is in the background and catches up when you come back.
Why is the number different from the Instagram app?
The app shows a rounded and sometimes cached number. This page shows the exact count Instagram reports right now, so it can be a few thousand above or below the rounded figure.
Does it work for private accounts?
Yes. The follower count of a private account is public. Posts and following can stay empty for those.
What size should the OBS browser source be?
The OBS tab shows the exact width and height for the size you picked: 300 × 80 for S, 400 × 100 for M and 520 × 130 for L. Leave Shutdown source when not visible off so the count keeps running between scenes.
