How the live Instagram follower count works
This page normally checks our data source every 5 seconds while the tab is visible. A new request does not guarantee a new measurement from Instagram: the source can return an older copy or no count. How much do Instagram accounts earn?
Instagram does not pay for followers or for views on regular posts. Most of the money comes from brands: a sponsored post is often priced at roughly 5 to 25 US dollars per 1,000 followers, and accounts with high engagement ask for more. Reels, stories and affiliate links add to that.
Instagram's own tools have follower thresholds. Gifts need a professional account with at least 500 followers, and Subscriptions need 10,000. Both also need you to be 18 or older and to live in a country where the feature is offered. The live count above shows how far an account still has to go.

How do I see the exact number of followers on Instagram?
Type a username or paste a profile link. When the source provides a full public count, we show it without shortening the digits. A full number can still be cached or delayed, so check its reading time and status.
How often does the count update?
The page normally checks our source every 5 seconds while the tab is visible. Instagram may not publish a new reading for each check, so an unchanged number does not prove that no followers changed. Checks pause in the background and resume when you return. Fallback sources and retries can take longer.
Why is the number different from the Instagram app?
The app and our sources can use different rounding, cached copies and update times. Compare the reading time and source status before interpreting a difference as a gain or loss.
Does it work for private accounts?
Sometimes, when the source returns the account's public follower count. Availability is not guaranteed, and the tool does not reveal private posts or hidden account data.
What size should the OBS browser source be?
The OBS tab shows the exact width and height for the size you picked: 300 × 80 for S, 400 × 100 for M and 520 × 130 for L. Leave Shutdown source when not visible off so the count keeps running between scenes.
Is it free?
Yes. No login and no limit. The ads on this page pay for the servers, and the embed and the OBS overlay never show ads.
