Aunkere Twitch Viewer Count

How the Twitch viewer count works

Twitch shows a viewer number under every live stream. This page reads that number from Twitch every 10 seconds, the same one twitch.tv shows, so you can follow a stream without having it open, compare channels, or show the count on your own stream.

What counts as a viewer

It is Twitch's own count of people watching the stream at that moment. Twitch refreshes that figure on its own schedule, so the number here can sit still for a bit and then jump, for example when a raid comes in.

Peak and stream time

Peak this visit is the highest count we saw since you opened this page, not the channel's all time record. Live for counts from the moment Twitch marked the stream as started.

When the channel is offline

An offline channel has no viewers, so you get its follower count instead. The page checks again every 30 seconds and switches to the viewer count as soon as the stream starts.

Viewer count in OBS

Open Share and embed above, pick a style and copy the OBS URL. In OBS add a Browser source, paste the URL and set the size to 380 by 120. The overlay has no ads and updates by itself. Want followers instead? Use the Twitch follower counter. For the views of a clip, use the Twitch clip view counter.

FAQ

Is this the real Twitch viewer count?

Yes. It is the viewer count Twitch reports for the stream, the same one you see on twitch.tv, checked every 10 seconds.

Can I see who is watching a Twitch stream?

No. Twitch only shares how many people are watching, not who they are.

Why does it show followers instead of viewers?

The channel is not live right now. We show followers until the stream starts, then the viewer count takes over by itself.

How often does the count update?

Every 10 seconds while the channel is live, here as well as in the embed and the OBS overlay. Offline channels are checked every 30 seconds.

Is it free?

Yes. No login, no sign up, and the embed and OBS overlay are free as well.
