Check a PeerTube channel
What this PeerTube follower number means
PeerTube is a network of independently run video instances. This counter reads the follower total returned by the server in the channel URL. Each instance may know about a different set of remote followers, so the number can vary when you check the same channel on another server.
How to check a channel
Open the public PeerTube channel page.
Copy its full address, including /video-channels/.
Paste the URL above and choose Check follower count.
The result names the reporting instance and shows when the lookup completed. It is a fresh reading from that instance, not a promise that every server in the network has the same total.

PeerTube counter questions
Can I check any PeerTube instance?Use a public channel URL on an instance that allows browser requests to its public API. Some servers block cross-site requests or may be temporarily offline.
Why can two instances show different follower totals?PeerTube servers exchange information across a federation. A server may not yet know every remote follower, so each instance reports the total it currently has.
Does this counter need my PeerTube password? No. It reads public channel information and never asks you to sign in.
