In late 2018 the Indian music label T-Series was about to pass PewDiePie as the most subscribed channel on YouTube. His fans answered with "subscribe to PewDiePie" campaigns, and for months the gap moved by a few thousand subscribers a day. T-Series took the lead for good in 2019, and years later MrBeast passed them both.
