Follower gap
The gap between both accounts, updated live
How the X follower comparison works
Type two X usernames above and press Compare. Both follower counts refresh every 2 seconds, and the box in the middle shows how far apart the two accounts are and who is ahead.
The numbers are the exact counts from each public profile, not the rounded 219.4M style you see in the X app, so even a gap of a few hundred followers shows up.
How the X follower gap is worked out
The default pair is Elon Musk against Barack Obama. The gap is Musk's followers minus Obama's, roughly 123 million when we wrote this, so the box names Musk as the one ahead.
Because X gives exact counts, a few hundred new followers already show up as a step in the line. Going up means the first account pulls further ahead, going down means the second one is closing in. For a tighter race, try Taylor Swift against Katy Perry, about 6 million apart when we checked.
A new reading lands every 2 seconds and the chart keeps the last 600, so about 20 minutes. It starts over when you reload and pauses while the tab is in the background.
